About Stuart Akerman, M.D.
Dr. Akerman is fellowship-trained in many advanced endoscopic procedures, including ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, fine needle aspiration, and cholangioscopy. He practiced in Bayshore, NY, for several years before relocating to the North Texas area. It is very important to him to be able to work with other physicians in the practice who are also advanced endoscopists. This allows Dr. Akerman to provide these complex procedures in a timely manner to serve his patients better.

Dr Akerman is very confident, maybe a bit arrogant, but I want a physician to be 'that person'. The bedside manner could be softer, but at the same time, he's clearly competent and provides me with a sense of security & safety. At the end of the day, that's what matters! Recommend him & his staff to anyone seeking a highly skilled gastro doc.

Dr Akerman's team patiently answered my husband's many anxious questions on multiple phone calls. Dr Akerman himself is pretty amazing, and made my husband very comfortable and at ease (which is saying something! LOL) Dr Akerman goes to the top of the referral list for us, he's that good!
Great staff. Great facility. No complaints at all about Dr. Ackerman or the procedure they performed.
