The History of DHAT

In 1996, thirty-seven physicians had the foresight to understand that in an ever-changing health care environment, a large independent physician group would be better positioned to provide high quality cost-effective care to their patients and came together to form Digestive Health Associates of Texas (DHAT), P.A.

DHAT has been serving patients in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for over 20 years, providing exceptional, state-of-the-art gastroenterology care. In this time, we have grown and evolved into a premier colonoscopy clinic and comprehensive gastroenterology care provider in northern Texas. In addition to our clinical expertise and our compassionate, patient centered approach to medicine, it is our drive to improve what we offer our patients that continues to set us apart. In addition to caring for patients at more than 60 office locations, we actively engage in clinical research. The DHAT Research Institute offers cutting edge treatment options for both adult and pediatric GI disease, while working to advance the field of gastroenterology care.

In the last two decades much has changed, but one thing remains the same. In an ever-changing health care environment, a large talented group of independent physicians is better positioned to provide high quality cost-effective care for their patients.

Alert: Phone Scam Warning

We’re seeing an increase in phone scams targeting patients. Callers may pose as Medicare, your doctor’s office, or another healthcare provider to obtain your Medicare number or other personal information.

Please remember:

  • Never share your Medicare number, Social Security number, or banking information with unsolicited callers.
  • Medicare will never call you unexpectedly to request your number or personal details.
  • Be wary of offers for “free” medical equipment or services in exchange for your Medicare information.
  • If a call seems suspicious, hang up and contact the clinic where you receive care directly using the phone number listed on our website for that location.

To report a suspicious call: Call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) or visit reportfraud.ftc.gov.
