FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Statement Regarding the Inaccurate Identification of Dr. Cherian Abraham in Recent News Coverage

Dallas, TX, March 28, 2025— Digestive Health Associates (DHAT) and GI Alliance are issuing this statement to urgently correct a serious error in recent media coverage that falsely identified Dr. Cherian Abraham, a respected physician as an individual involved in a recent criminal incident.

Contrary to the report, Dr. Abraham has not been arrested, charged, or involved in any criminal investigation related to the matter in question. This was a case of mistaken identity. The incident reported on involved a male with the same name and is no way tied or related to Dr. Abraham. We are deeply concerned by the personal and professional harm this inaccurate reporting has caused.

Dr. Abraham has built a longstanding reputation for excellence in patient care and leadership within DHAT and GI Alliance. He is widely respected across the Dallas and North Texas medical communities for his dedication to gastrointestinal health and for serving patients with compassion and professionalism.

We call upon any media outlet or publication that misreported this information to immediately issue a public correction and remove any content linking Dr. Abraham to the incident. Such misinformation has real and lasting consequences, and we ask the public and press to approach such matters with care and a commitment to the truth.
