About Moustafa Youssef, M.D.
Dr. Moustafa Youssef is board-certified in both gastroenterology and internal medicine; he earned his Medical Degree in Egypt and moved to the United States in 2005 to continue his medical training. He completed an Internal Medicine residency and a Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at the University of New Mexico In Albuquerque.
Dr. Youssef is skilled in all areas of Gastroenterology with a special interest in colon cancer screening (e.g., colonoscopy), Acid Reflux “GERD,” constipation, IBS, and management of inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
Procedures that he routinely performs are upper endoscopy "EGD," colonoscopy, esophageal manometry, BRAVO PH monitoring, capsule endoscopy, and advanced therapeutic ERCP procedures.
Dr. Youssef uses a multidisciplinary approach to treating digestive conditions by integrating alternative medicine and nutrition along with state-of-the-art medical and endoscopic management. He strives to improve his patient's experiences and quality of life by managing their conditions.
Dr. Youssef was among the first few providers in the DFW area to offer the TIF (Transoral incisionless Fundoplication) procedure. Dr. Youssef uses TIF to treat the underlying cause of GERD. This innovative procedure rebuilds the antireflux valve and restores the body's natural protection against reflux. Dr. Youssef recommends the TIF procedure for qualified candidates because clinical studies demonstrate that TIF patients have long-term relief and rarely report side effects commonly associated with traditional antireflux surgery. It also has an excellent safety profile with minimal complications.
Dr. Youssef enjoys the outdoors for leisure and loves fishing and traveling. He is married and has 2 children.

Reviews
Extremely thorough in ruling out alternative diagnoses in the process of differential diagnosis. Very attentive in resolving other issues as they arise.
Dr. Youssef is a fantastic GI. I started seeing him after several surgery nurses recommended him when I was looking for someone to do a upcoming colonoscopy. I have had 3 Colonoscopy with him and very pleased with his office staff and nursing staff. Been with him for 8 years and I intend to continue to have him be my gastroenterologist. He is very good. Love the new office space GI Alliance. .
On my last visit to see Dr Youseff he ordered Relister for me. I haven’t gotten it filled yet. It requires a preauthorization and when I called the office to find out what was taking so long I was told that they would get to it when they got to it. I’m still constipated but I will deal with it myself since his office can’t be bothered
Dr. Youssef is a caring, efficient, and knowledgeable physician. I appreciate that he offers additional suggestions to improve my gastrointestinal issues and not just give me a pill and send me on my way. My only con is it takes awhile to get an appointment to see him specifically, but the level of care I receive is worth the wait.
Excellent Support, care and follow ups...
