Dr. Whitney is a passionate, hardworking, board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist who loves taking care of children and their families. Her interest in pediatric acute and chronic diseases include issues from the newborn period through the college years, such as reflux, swallowing issues, growth/development, symptoms of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, constipation and/or diarrhea, allergic gastrointestinal disorders, celiac and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Dr. Whitney is dedicated to understanding the needs of each of her patients and their families. Throughout the years in her practice, Dr. Whitney has enjoyed watching her patients grow into adults and has even had the honor of treating some of their children. She has been with DHAT since 1999 and actively involved in the community with CCFA, medical symposiums, educational seminars and outreach programs. When she isn’t seeing patients, you might find her hiking at her ranch in Wimberley and/or spending time with her family which includes a supportive husband, five children, and two dogs.
