Hiatal hernia issues are particularly common among people in the U.S. and have the potential to affect your digestive and respiratory tracts. Your food tube (esophagus) passes through a small portion of the diaphragm before it joins with your stomach. The little gap is termed the hiatus. A hiatal hernia develops when a portion of your stomach bulges upward through the hiatus and penetrates into your chest cavity. If you suspect that you are dealing with symptoms that hint at this condition or are already seeking treatment for a hiatal hernia in Dallas, TX, we recommend consulting with a digestive health physician. Booking an appointment at Digestive Health Associates of Texas today can get you in touch with one of our skilled gastrointestinal providers.

I have been a patient of Dr Chandra for 14 years and the staff and also Dr Chandra have given me the utmost care, respect, and kindness. They always follow thru with anything and anytime I call with a problem Dr Chandra has taken very good care of me and solved my issues. He is so kind and caring and will do all that he can to help you never sending you to do just anything to run up a bill, he wants to find out what’s going on and try to resolve the problem. I highly recommend Dr Chandra you won’t go wrong he is a wonderful doctor and makes you feel important.
The first day I met Dr. Hasan I knew I needed him to be my Gastrologist and fired my other Gastrologist who showed no knowledge or care of my well being. I met Dr. Hasan while I lay in a hospital bed in excruciating pain due to my flareups. He listened to me, asked questions, showed me compassion and shared advise that my old gastrologist didn't share. He's been by my side ever since. He makes sure I receive the best care and medicine. I have been pain free ever since. My sister, who has IBS for a couple of years now has Dr. Hasan as her Gastrologist as well. I highly recommend him!
Dr Gayle is highly competent and has swonnderful communication skills what they used to call bedside manner.
This doc is not only smart but he is also very nice man! He listens & does not talk at you but explains the situation in a way that you do not feel intimated. My husband is not a patient of Dr. Akerman but Dr. Akerman has the experience & knowledge needed for a particular procedure my husband was requiring. He agreed to perform the procedure within about a week or so & his office was outstanding! The receptionist at his office is so sweet & kind! They actually answer their phones.
