Gina (his scheduler) is always willing to work with me and my husband's schedule to fit me in for my procedures. His nurse practitioner and PA are also amazing. The staff always call to check on me after my procedures as well as let me know any pathology results, answer any questions I have regarding my results and if they are unsure of the answers they will check with Dr. Eidem and call me back. He and his staff (esp Gina, his scheduler) do everything in their power to take care of us whenever we call and in this most recent visit, we needed to get seen and get scheduled for a colonoscopy and endoscopy ASAP and they not only took care of us, but even got us in earlier for the procedure when they had a last minute cancellation. "Most impressive colonoscopy experience! I was scheduled at 1h30pm on the 22nd of November. Everything was so well orchestrated by the friendly staff and doctor Eidem. I went under exactly at 1h30pm! No wait, no stress, no pain and the results on paper right there with the doctor's explanation and recommendation after the procedure. Google ask for photos ....I will pass on that :)"

"Initially I gave 1 star review due to the fact that Dr. Eidem refused to see me after I tried to see another gastrologist. Below he responded why I was denied his care so I deleted my initial review because I really loved Dr. Eidem so much. I have nothing against him so he deserves a good review. I don’t usually write reviews but this doctor deserves one. Even I am no longer his patient I would encourage others to go to him because he is amazing. His organization sucks though. DO NOT TRY TO SEE another GASTROLOGIST if you are happy under his care or else you will regret like me. I changed my 1 star to 5 only for Dr. Matthew Eidem."

"I really couldn’t wait to leave my review, so far so good! Colonoscopy was a success, since it was my 1st procedure, I was really scared, I googled GI Doctors and Dr. Eidem popped up with awesome reviews so upon calling the office I found out that my PCP also chose him as well. No coincidence. His office was very friendly and welcoming, the staff made me feel safe. The young lady who is from Kenya, answered all of my questions and His Assistant I can’t remember her name (Debra) I think, reassured me that I was going to receive the best of care. Meeting Dr. Eidem and the Hospital staff on yesterday was such a vibe. I mean in the Procedure room they were singing, I have never had that type of treatment before, ever. I even joined in with them. They were patient with me before drifting off to sleep, I woke up to “Wake Me Up” by WHAM! Lol! No Polyps or Cancer, Praise Jesus! I can say, He’s my New GI Doctor! Thank you Dr. Eidem for taking care of me, calming me down, and your Beside Manner was the BEST!"

I want to start out by saying that Dr. Eidem has has always been tremendous to interact with. Professional, caring, informative, all the attributes you want to have from an outstanding physician. A few years ago, I had a less than stellar conversation with one of his staff members that was the exact opposite of all that we had experienced before with Dr. Eidem and left me stunned. I wrote a pretty scathing review and, to his credit, Dr. Eidem called me immediately and asked what had taken place. This was MUCH appreciated and I backed off the review. Fast forward to 2019 and I am glad to be able to report that the great example set by Dr. Eidem is mirrored by his staff from scheduling, reception, billing, and check out. This is all from the report of my spouse who went to see Dr. Eidem and went on and on about how fabulous her experience was with him and the entire staff. "I decided to do 5 stars because this has nothing to do with him personally. I was trying to make an appointment for my husband who was having serious abdominal issues and they wouldn’t see him in person unless there was bleeding involved... which is insane. They wanted us to pay for an over the phone appointment but we knew that actual testing needed to be done. I understand that COVID is scary, but as a doctor you should still be seeing your patients, especially new patients in person. We ended up getting an appointment set for in person after several days. We get there and are both wearing our masks, the door was locked and a lady comes over and says “Can I help you?” And we said “Yes, we made an appointment” still doesn’t let us through says “okay well let me see if you’re supposed to be here”. I said “yes, we are, we made an appointment for an in person appointment” (which she should have seen on their calendar you’d think) and then she looks at my husband and says “Let me see, I believe you’re the only one coming back here” and she just dismisses me. I guess they think COVID is a temporary thing. So my husband told me he was ready to leave. So we did."

"I had stomach pain and issues after ankle surgery. Tried everything until it was determined I needed to go to the GI (Dr. Eidem). When I called, the staff understood the urgency of my situation and was able to get me in within a day. Met with Debra Hudson and explained my issue and provided the systems. Instead of doing an upper GI and potentially other tests, she was able to quickly diagnose the cause being an ulcer from the drugs used during surgery. She prescribed medication and provided a specific diet for a month to resolve the ulcer. The diagnosis was spot on. I really appreciate their attentiveness and quickly resolving the issue."

"I very recently “rediscovered” Dr. Eidem. I had had a good overall experience with the colonoscopy procedure itself which he performed nearly 10 years ago. However, I didn’t want to have the sedation again and really had intended to avoid another scoping. I hadn’t expected that any gastroenterologist would permit a colonoscopy without sedation, but Dr. Eidem was agreeable to it at least in my case. BTW, I might not be recommending, to my friends, to do it without sedation but it worked for me! His practice also offers Open Access Colonoscopy which was of great benefit. His website includes an instructive video which discusses the prep process quite well. The colonoscopy screening went well. I was able to watch the procedure on a big screen in HD while Dr. Eidem kindly kept me informed about what was transpiring and what I was seeing as the scope snaked around in there and I got to see the surgical removal of a small polyp. Thanks for catching that doc! You wouldn’t expect a tour of the colon could be interesting but you might be surprised! "2nd colonoscopy from Dr Eidem; 1st was just over ten years ago. Entire process was smooth. About a week prior to the procedure I got a notification from my pharmacy that the kit was ready for pick up. Email instructions for prep were easy to understand. I arrived at facility about 40 minutes before procedure. Check in was quick and easy. Went back a few minutes early; nurses were very nice and patient ( I'm hard of hearing). Didn't even feel the stick of the IV needle. Anesthesiologist was great; rolled me back to procedure room; Dr. Eidem was there to greet me. They put me on my side, and the next thing I remember is getting dressed and going home. Guess I'll be back in another 10 years."

"Thanks you Dr. Eidem. I have spondylolysis, a spinal condition. It's not something someone would see a gastroenterologist for but I didn't know I had a spinal condition at the time I saw Dr like. Eidem. The two general practitioners I saw didn't recognize that my intestinal pain was caused by damage to my central nervous system even after various tests got rid of possible causes. They recommend me to see a gastroenterologist and I made an appointment with Dr. Eidem for my intestinal pain, oblivious to it's root cause. He was very intent to listen to my symptoms (which also include things like shooting pains in my legs and buttocks) and because he is so attentive and knowledgeable he recognized it was a problem with my lumbar spine. He had me do an MRI for L vertebraes which showed a bilateral stress fracture. I really feel like I wouldn't have resolved the question of what was bothering me if I had seen anyone else other than Dr. Eidem. He is the best at what he does."

"Colonoscopies are not spelled "f-u-n", but this man's got a great organization. They made the whole experience absolutely and literally painless. If you are 50 or older and haven't had one, get it done. I was a bit concerned about it, but it was really a breeze. Didn't expect it to be this easy. My colonoscopy appointment was for 7:30 am. They had me prepped and on the table by 7:45 am, I was asleep by 7:50 am and walking out to my car by 9:15. Extremely professional group, very efficient, they take good care of you."

The only negative at the Endoscopy Center was the fact that the first nurse was unable to get the IV in my wrist and it was quite painful. I asked her to put it in my arm but she refused.
